My name is Lilly Koehler, and I’m a Grade 10 student at Everest Academy in Vaughan, Ontario. I’m writing to introduce myself and share my passion for hockey, as well as my aspirations to play D1 hockey in the United States and to further my education with an equally balanced routine.
From the moment I laced up my first pair of skates on the outdoor rinks of my little town I fell in love with the game. Hockey has been a central part of my life ever since. I currently play for the Etobicoke Dolphins U18AA, and I’m dedicated to pushing myself to be the best player I can be.
Playing Division One hockey is incredibly important to me. It represents the opportunity to compete against some of the best players and continually challenge myself. I’m always looking to push myself and eager to test my skills and improve every day in a competitive environment where I can truly grow as an athlete. I’m committed to excelling in my studies and maintaining a high GPA while pursuing my dreams on the ice. I believe that D1 hockey will offer the perfect blend of athletics and academics, setting me up for success both during and after college.
My dedication to hockey is something I’m really proud of. I put in many hours, whether it’s early morning practices with school, late-night workouts, or extra time in my back yard or on the ODR's perfecting my skills. Along with working on my personal development, I am always striving to improve and help my team succeed. My coaches and teammates often tell me that my work ethic and leadership make a big difference on and off the ice.
Outside of hockey, I’m involved in my community and take on leadership roles at school. I think it’s important to give back and be a positive influence in all areas of my life. Balancing my responsibilities with my passion for hockey and academics is challenging, but I’m committed to making it all work!
I would love for you to take a look at my profile and consider the possibility of watching me play. I’m excited about the chance to contribute to a top-tier program and to continue growing as both an athlete and a student.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If you’re interested in learning more about me or watching me play, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to provide more information or arrange a time for you to see me in action.
Thank you again for considering me.
