Jamie Porter '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jamie Porter, I was born in 2006, am 6'0 tall, 155 lbs and shoot left. Although I primarily play centre, I am comfortable at right and left wing. As a forward, I am known for my ability to play both ends of the ice.

I began playing boys hockey at age six but made the switch to girls hockey at age ten. That change sparked my passion for this sport and I began an upward climb through the different levels of hockey. Since deciding that I wanted to continue playing hockey in university, I have intensified my commitment. My schedule requires dedication and organization to ensure that my schoolwork doesn’t suffer. I completed grade 10 with an 86% average at Branksome Hall which follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. I am at the tail end of grade 11 and am set to graduate in 2024, though am comfortable with a gap year.
