I am a self motivated student athlete, who leads by example and gives 100% effort every time I am on the ice. My strengths are my hockey sense, my back checking, my work along the boards winning battles and my work ethic. I was named Assistant Captain this year on my U18AA team after serving as Captain last year on my U15AA team. I use communication on and off the ice to encourage and lead. My current aspirations are to improve my on ice performance by continuing to work on my dryland skills - specifically plyometrics, fast feet, reaction drills and sprints, as well as some strength training. I ran cross country in the fall of my freshman and sophmore year to work on my endurance, and qualified and ran in the OFSAA championships (our provincial final) both seasons. I am working hard at school and currently have a 94% average after my second term of Grade 10. At the Athletic banquet in June, 2023, I received the Rookie of the Year Award as well as the Coaches Award for Cross Country and the Coaches Award for the Varsity Hockey Team. I am excited to continue my hockey next year with Leaside, playing U22AA under Melissa Wronzberg for the Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats.
