I am a driven student and athlete who always puts their best foot forward in anything I am asked to do, or set my mind to. I define myself on my work ethic, and it has payed off through being awarded Athlete of the Year as a freshman at my high school, playing Junior hockey, maintaining a 96-97% average in school and much more. Throughout my ten years playing hockey, I have developed intangible skills that have shaped me into the well rounded student-athlete I am today. Being part of a team has built my social skills and ability to work with others, my self-discipline, and work ethic. Not only have these attributes taken my athletic ability to the next level on and off the ice, it has also set me apart from my fellow classmates at school. At school I am within the top percentile of each of my classes, I hold a 4.0 GPA and am bilingual (French and English). I am also the Vice-President of the Athletic Council at my high school, where our goal is to better the school-life for my fellow classmates, and to encourage healthy and active lifestyles among the student body. I describe myself as a well-rounded and dedicated athlete, as I not only play high-level hockey, but also take my skills that I have developed and translated them to be able to play OWSL soccer. The reason I am able to succeed to such a high degree at school is because of the opportunity I have been given to be able to be part of a hockey team.
As a player I am extremely coachable, diligent, and have an extremely positive attitude to bring on and off the ice. I am a power forward who creates great scoring opportunities offensively, and is very responsible and effective in the defensive zone as well. I am always taking the puck to the net hard, and am not afraid to get into dirty areas and work hard. I have created a name for myself, as my previous coaches speak highly of my coachability and work ethic. It is a dream of mine to play at the varsity level, and to be an influential addition to your program. I am ready to make those dreams a reality.
