My name is Emily Bowen and I am a 2008 birth year, 2026 graduate. I currently attend and board at Shady Side Academy, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I played for the Steel City Selects for the past two years and currently play with the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 19U AAA as a right defenseman. I've had the opportunity to be a utility player for both my school and club team and this has taught me crucial skills like adaptability, versatility, and teamwork, which I apply both on and off the ice. My goal is to play at a high level of college hockey while attending a prestigious academic institution. Being at an academically rigorous school and playing travel hockey has taught me how to deal with time management, difficult coursework, and to continuously challenge myself to grow. What sets me apart from others is my dedication and drive in athletics and academics.
