Hello! My name is Gabriella Kaplan and I have been skating since I was 4 years old. I am originally from Boston but I have grown up in Austin, Tx. My mother is from Montreal, Canada and I have dual citizenship. I started formal skating lessons in 5th grade as a figure skater and I figure skated for 4 1/2 years. I switched to Hockey about a year and a half ago. I coach hockey as well. I coach snowplow and help out in Youth Learn to Play. I have been skating on an injured knee so unfortunately I am not on a team but I hope to join one next season. I love the atmosphere at the rink and I honestly don't want to spend my time anywhere else. I am also very devoted to Academics and I am taking two languages and most of my classes are either AP or Honors level courses. I also have a few extracurricular activities such as piano, voice, and Girl Scouts. I am also a part of the NHL Power Players Youth Advisory Board (this is my second season) where I, along with 24 other teenagers around the US and Canada advise the NHL on how to spread the game on social media and how to get more young people interested in Hockey.
