Thank you for visiting my profile. As a former figure skater prior to switching to hockey (just 4 seasons ago), I understand what sacrifices are needed for the end result. From being off-sides nearly 30+ times in my first season of hockey to nearly scoring on my own goalie in that same year (ok, the puck may have crossed the line!), the motivation to adapt and overcome is part of who I am.
Born in the "coal region" area of Pennsylvania, I bring a blue-collar work ethic to whatever I do and a chip on my shoulder to be the best. This has been instilled in me from my parents. Both are former athletes with my Dad being a full scholarship D1 football player. Having lived in PA, GA and now VA, I am blessed with the ability to use my personality, learn by watching others and make friends wherever I go.
I don't want to just play on a hockey team in college, I want to be part of a program that values tradition and competes no matter the score. I want to wear a jersey where there is so much pride, it should never touch the ground.
Whether it is my academics, chorus concerts, part-time job, hockey practice or my dedicated off-ice with Washington Capitals Strength Coach Mark Nemish, I am the first to arrive and the last to leave. If I am able to play at the next level, I will bring this mentality with me but also the willingness to learn.
Thank you. I look forward to connecting with you!
