Marianna Szamoskozi '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Marianna Szamoskozi and I’ve been playing lacrosse since I was 9.  At that time, there were no female teams for my age level so I played on a boys team.  That year I was the only girl out of 4 to still be playing at the end of the year and I ended up winning an award for most inspirational player. Ever since then, I’ve been in love with the sport of lacrosse. I started training with higher level teams like Team BC, Vancouver Aces and Fusion West Lacrosse when I was 12. I am looking for a school where I can continue to thrive academically, as my education is important to me, since I want to become a medical doctor. In my spare time, I like to go to the gym, go for runs, and cook/bake.  I have also started to referee as I have recently completed my referee certification.
