My love for lacrosse started 7 years ago as a lefty on defense. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to play year round on recreational and club teams. For both Freshman and Sophomore years at Carlsbad High School, I was a starter on Varsity. Over the years, I have become observant, aggressive, persistent, gained field awareness, and the ability to anticipate plays.
Starting last fall, I began to incorporate refereeing into my skill set and am now a certified Junior Official. This experience has taught me a new perspective of the game and allowed me to be a smarter player on the field.
In school, I like to challenge myself with Honors and AP courses with my strengths in math and science. Throughout high school, I have become extremely passionate about the Deaf community and American Sign Language, inspiring me to create a club on campus. As club President, I help develop friendships among the hearing and deaf students, along with creating activities to empower the Deaf. Recently, I was voted to be the upcoming Junior Class Vice President.
For the last 11 years, Girl Scouts has been a consistent part of my life, molding me to be hard working and reliable as I complete the highest achievement in the program, the Girl Scout Gold Award.
My peers would describe me as dependable, fierce, and committed both socially and on the field.
