As a freshman in high school, no sport clicked the way lacrosse did. Once I picked up the stick and started, I knew I wanted to play in the future. This sport has taught me so many things to use in the game and life in general. Communication. Lacrosse taught me the importance of this, whether it’s telling someone you have their backup or just making sure they’re good. Academically, I’m as focused as they come because when being a student athlete, you’re a student first. Academics are everything. My academic goals for high school and college is/are to go past the set standard. My character is shown through athletics. I’m always open for improvement because you can always improve. During my sophomore year, i suffered from a series of bulging discs and therastic tears that put my sophomore season on pause.. Through my recovery, i learned that there will be setbacks however, it’s not about the setback but about how you overcome that setback. Therefore, I always give 110% at all times because hardwork is what will get you far. “Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” As long as I work harder everyday, my skill continuously gets better.
