Emily Brown '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Emily Brown, i’m applying to have the opportunity to play lacrosse in college and learn more about the game. I’ve played lacrosse for about 2-3 years now, I joined a highschool team in my third year at North Farmington Highschool coached by Nicki Yost and Vikki Barret, and played 2 summers before that at camps with Coach Micheal Mehall from Farmington Highschool and would also go to 7 on 7 every week with him at Farmington Highschool on teusdays. My athletic background other than lacrosse is competitive swim, I’ve been swimming for 7 years now, so I’ve developed great stamina, endurance, and a 100% hard work ethic in practices/games. At practices I like to be a strong supportive influence to everybody while also pushing to be the best we can. I tend to make lots of short term achievable goals so that it encourages myself and others to move forward from what we achieved, such as: being able to do a pick and roll, or to be able to not get a yellow card for accidentally tripping someone. Long term wise, I really want to bring confidence to the feild in every game so that we can continue to play aggressively. I’m currently applied for swim im ncaa too, but Im keeping my options open to both sports considering I’m passionate and committed to both and is willing to put in the effort it takes to be a college athlete.
