While only playing Lacrosse since 2012, I have developed a love for the game. I am excited about the opportunity to continue and play at the collegiate level. I have played competitive Youth Ice Hockey at the AA & AAA level for over 7 years, and I know I will be able to succeed in Women’s Lacrosse in college.
As a High School Freshman, I was selected as the starter for the Junior Varsity team. I was able to accomplish that through one-on-one training with a college coach where I developed basic skills and discovered I had a unique ability for the game. Our season was very successful, with only three loses, one of the top JV teams in the conference.
As a Sophomore, after an active off-season I was selected as the Varsity starting goalie. The move from JV to Varsity was challenging. I finished the season with a 47% save percentage, but my average during the second half of the season was 59% (including 58.5% during the Section Tournament). My skills have continued to improve. I am very coachable, a great listener and I lead by example. I always work hard and have fun.
I am also hard working in the classroom, maintaining a high GPA. Mahtomedi High School is the #1 academic school in the State of Minnesota, and one of the top public schools in the country. In addition, I volunteer as a Youth Ice Hockey coach.
I would like to attend a college where I can continue my new found passion, Lacrosse. I want to make sure it is a quality college that will provide me a good education and prepare me for real life.
