My name is Taylor Bumstead and I was introduced to the game of lacrosse when I was 9 years old, when former Team Canada player, and graduate from Delaware University, Casey Lyons decided she wanted to coach Women's Field Lacrosse and grow the program where I live.
I am highly motivated to achieve my goals in lacrosse. I am always up for a challenge, and to improve both in physical and mental aspects of the game. On the field, I strive to be the best I can be and always make sure I'm putting in 100% effort, all the time. I would be willing to attend any school that provides a positive atmosphere, where I can both get my education and continue to play the game I love at a high level.
Being a part of a team is also something that truly means something to me. Not only is it an amazing experience but it also shapes me as a person. Being apart of a team has made me become a hard worker, a leader, and someone who doesn't give up.
My biggest accomplishment and proudest moment in lacrosse was being selected to be apart of Ontario Summer Games for 2016 and 2018. I attended Ontario Summer Games both in Mississauga and London.
In the past few winters I have travelled to the United States to participate in various tournaments for field lacrosse where I have competed, excelled, and improved in every tournament. By being a part of these tournaments, it allows me to display my ability and readiness to play and interact in the NCAA while making connections with the coaching staffs that may someday be my future University coach.
