Personal Statement

Interesting fact, I once danced with a stingray. Hi, I’m Izzy. I fell in love with lacrosse right away and I work hard to improve myself. I enjoy that lacrosse is a true team sport because you can’t play lacrosse without everybody participating on the team. I love that lacrosse is a fast paced game that keeps people on their toes. It is my favorite sport, as I’m a multi-sport athlete: JV softball and volleyball. From six years of lacrosse, I have a high lacrosse IQ, which also correlates with my 4.15 GPA. I’m a hard worker because I believe there is always something new you can learn and improve on. This sport has given me an opportunity to meet new friends, develop leadership skills, and to persevere against any hardships. I believe that I offer a coachable, dedicated, and hardworking team player on the field and in the classroom. These key skills not only help in lacrosse, but will help me with my aspirations of becoming a marine biologist.

2021 Houston Hot Sauce Lacrosse (Girls High School Open Bracket)
Houston Hot Sauce Lacrosse is a unique organization. The team goes to many tournaments throughout the year, but players register for individual events rather than for the team. The team features players mainly from Houston, but often has a few players from other states. That being said, each tournament has a unique combination of girls playing- often meeting teammates for the first time at warm-ups. Each tournament may have a different coach as well, many coming from colleges or Houston teams.
2021 South Coast Lacrosse (High School 2023)
South Coast Lacrosse is a travel/club team where you try out according to your grad year. They are based in Houston Texas and compete in tournaments during the offseason. The coaches for South Coast 2023 Lacrosse are Amy Markwort, Jess Lemke, Nicole Morris, and Beth Lester.
