Lacrosse has been a huge part of my life since 3rd grade when my dad, who passed away from prostate cancer in 2021, introduced me to the sport. I love it because of the people, competition, and the joy it brings me every time I step on the field or go to practice. Through lacrosse I have learned things like time management, responsibility, and the importance of friends and teammates. Playing lacrosse has provided me with many exciting opportunities, including playing for American Select Team Texas, Team North Texas and playing as a starting varsity defender my freshman year. While doing this I also worked part-time at a cycling store all of my sophomore year until it closed during my junior year. I am also a part of the National Cancer Honor Society and was nominated by my peers to be a part of my schools suicide prevention club my freshman year. I dedicate my free time primarily to improving my own skills and helping coach the youth in my hometown. My dad was an outstanding athlete and played basketball at dartmouth, I think he would be very proud to see me play today.
