Personal Statement

Playing college lacrosse would be a huge achievement for me personally. I’ve enjoyed the sport since day one, and it’s my favorite choice as a multi-sport athlete. Select lacrosse has helped me focus in on becoming a better team player by showing me that it takes more than skill to be a good all around player, but leadership and commitment as well.

Being from a military family, we have moved frequently and have been stationed in locations where lacrosse teams aren’t nearby, meaning I must commute long distances  in order to play for a team. Having to commit in such ways is the biggest obstacle I’ve had to overcome in my career, but has not at all discouraged me from playing the sport. Ideally, I’d like a college program that supports me both athletically as well as academically. A friendly faculty and positive environment around campus is also something I’d love too see. I am undecided on a major at this time, but I am interested in something along the lines of engineering. I will certainly look into all opportunities I am given and hope to find a college that suits me for what I need as a student athlete.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
