Madeline Wickers '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Maddie Wickers and I am interested in rowing in college.  I have been passionately rowing on the Xavier Prep Crew team for three years.  Despite immersing myself in school work, my job as a swim instructor at Hubbard Family Swim School, and assisting my community, I have remained completely dedicated in my life as a rower and a team mate.  Despite the rowing community being very small in Phoenix, Arizona, I have still made it a priority to giving 200% in all things rowing.  I would be an asset to your team due to my coach ability, dedication, passion, positivity, technique, and the fact that I work extremely well with others.   I have been the captain of my team for two years, have gone to Scholastic Nationals three times. This past year, receiving third in the JV 4+! I am also a state champion rower. I look forward to hearing from you and can not wait to continue my career as a rower!
