My name is Jordan Isnor and I am currently seventeen years old. In university, my goals are to row varsity (lightweight), as well as completing a Bachelor of Arts and majoring in history or French. With this degree, I would like to work in government of some level. My aspirations in life is to be the best that I can be and always pushing my limits, whether it's in athletics, academics or working with others. I would be a good candidate for your team as I'm driven, hardworking, and outgoing. I love working with others and watching my team mates improve, physical and mentally, as they all train so hard day in and day out. What makes me different from other candidates regarding my character, is my outgoing and positive personally. I love dealing with others and getting to know their unique personalities. I also love being there for others when their in need, and to try to resolve their problems, if needed. I believe one should always look at the positive side of every situation, even if it seems impossible to do so. When it comes to academics, I have great studying habits, a creative side, and I have good organizations skills. I always review a little bit for quizzes and tests every night and make sure I have assignments done well ahead of their due date. I'm really into art, and I have made good used of my art skills. Since high school, myself and others have completed clay murals, which are now displayed around our school, as well as back drops for our school's drama department's shows. I have also had some of my art projects displayed at our town's local theatre. Staying organized is very important to me. I keep a daily planner to write down upcoming tests, quizzes and assigment due dates for each of my classes. I also keep a well organized binder with dividers for each of my subjects. Regarding athletics, I live and breathe them. I row roughly eight times a week, and cross train with swimming twice a week. With athletics, I love encouraging my team mates and helping them achieve their goals. I love offering helpful advice to my team mates, and receiving advice back from them. With athletics, whether it's physically or mentally, I believe one always has something to improve on. Rowing specifically, I love always having things to work on, regarding my technique, as it helps me push my own limits. As an athlete, I want to be the best that I can be so I'm willing to take whatever it takes to help achieve my goals. Finally, I love to volunteer. At school, I'm an executive member of Eco Club. As an executive member, I plan school events, find ways to make our school a greener place, and help with beach clean ups, invasive plant pulls, etc. in my local community. I'm also involved in "Beyond the Hurt", which is a program sponsored by the Canadian Red Cross. This program is designed to spread bullying awareness to others within the community. Thanks very much to everyone for their time and consideration and I hope to hear back from one of you!
