Hello, my name is Emily MacMillan. I am sixteen years old and I live in Victoria, British Columbia. I have been rowing for Club and high school seasons for three years and absolutely love the sport. I would like to go to university to study in the Sciences Faculty, either in Pre-Med or Biochemistry. I would be a good candidate for your Women's rowing team because of my continuous 100% effort into every practice. Every time I sit down on an erg or get on the water, I give it my all. I am more than willing to put in the time and effort to improve. Since I am a student-athlete, I have learned how to balance a heavy academic course load with hours of training a week, forcing me to become a highly organized person. I manage to keep respectable grades while performing at my best during the season. I also highly value sportsmanship and teamwork, because that is the most important part of what keeps a team working well together.
