I aspire to enroll in a high-achieving academic institution with a renowned, elite rowing program. Over the past 2024 racing season, I had many highlights including winning the BC Provincial Championships in both the U19 Women’s pair event and the Open Women’s pair event, winning in the juniors women’s 8+ event at Windermere, 5th place finished overall in the the Youth Womens 8+ at Head of Charles Regatta 2024 and my most proud event was being able to represent my country at the World Championships in the U19 Women’s Pair event. The combination of academic excellence and top-tier rowing would provide me with the ideal environment to excel in my studies and on the water, allowing me to reach my goals. Scholastically, I wish to pursue a career in medicine like my father. With rowing, I want to compete with the top varsity teams for a National title. Ultimately, I aspire to represent my country on an international stage, ideally at the Olympics.
I am highly motivated and learn very quickly. I have been an appointed and natural leader in school and athletics from the outset. I left the sport of hockey to pursue rowing. My hockey career started at age 4, and I played on male teams until my final year, when I left to play on an all-female representative team. I am very strong physically and maybe even more so mentally. I am fair, inclusive, loyal, and dedicated. I desire to succeed and want others to do so with me. I am serious when called for, but I tell great stories and lift the room always. I will make a team better.
Some of my rowing highlights thus far include winning 2 gold medals at the 2023 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, finishing fifth at the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta, and competing for my country at the 2024 U19 World Championships.
My GPA equivalent is 4.0.
I have decided to delay my entrance to university until the fall of 2026 to focus on preparing for the 2025 U19 World Championships. I will then continue that preparation with very specific programming for the remainder of the year to enter my collegiate rowing career in a better position to compete in the top boats as soon as possible.
