My name is Amira, and I am a dedicated student at La Jolla High School with a profound passion for rowing. For the past two years now, I have been an active member of the San Diego Rowing Club (SDRC), where I have not only refined my rowing skills but also embraced the values of discipline and teamwork. These experiences has shaped my ambition to become a better role model for the younger members of my team and to continuously strive for personal growth.
Academically, I am committed to maintaining a high GPA while balancing my responsibilities as a student-athlete. This dedication reflects my desire to excel in both my studies and my sport. My role as a rower has taught me resilience, leadership, and the importance of supporting others, and I am eager to bring these qualities to my future. In addition to my rowing and academic commitments, I have volunteered at the San Diego Crew Classic in 2024, and SDRC learn to row camps of summer of 2024. These experiences allow me to give back to the rowing community and inspire others with my passion for the sport.
My goals are to become a better version of myself through increased strength and perservance and to positively influence those around me. I am eager to embrace new challenges and continue growing both personally and academically. I believe my dedication, combined with my experiences and aspirations, make me a strong candidate.
