Hi! My name is Tessa and I am a 17-year-old senior at La Jolla high school. I just started rowing at San Diego rowing club this past fall, and I’m so excited to compete on the varsity team against other teams across California and the nation. I started rowing to build strength and stamina for basketball initially, but I eventually fell in love with rowing as a whole, so I’m pushing myself to row at a collegiate level. I am truly passionate about the sport due to the team aspect, the joy it brings me being in the boat every day, and the energy and challenges that I’m faced with throughout the sport. All of these factors push me to work hard everyday.
