Willa Frillici '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I am a current sophomore (as of June 10, 2024) going into my junior year of high school. I have been rowing for Jackson-Reed Crew, formerly Woodrow Wilson High school, for 2 years now. My whole life I have grown up in a household where success is expected, but never pressured. My parents have both graduated from top schools with Masters degrees and gone on to complete incredible things in DC working in politics. Growing up around such successful people encouraged me to take these steps and find my path myself!  When I started rowing competitively my freshman year of high school, I knew I had found my place. This sport has given me friendships, knowledge, experiences, and growth like nothing ever has. Knowing that I wanted to have a successful future both in college and into the rest of my life, I knew that rowing would help carry me there. This sport has changed me and the love and appreciation I have for it is unmatched. I would be overjoyed and forever grateful if I got the opportunity to continue my love for this sport at a school that will help me grow, learn, and excel in more ways than one.
