Throughout my athletic career, I have played different sports; Competitive Dance, Track and Field and Cross Country, but it wasn’t until winter of my freshman year that I joined the rowing team and felt an immediate connection. Like many of my fellow coxswains, my initial driving force to attend daily practices was the competitive nature of the sport to succeed, along with the hunger of my teammates and coaches to cross the finish line, and the camaraderie of the strangers who quickly became family. But the more time I spent on the Intercoastal Waterway, focus on just being out there, feeling the synchronicity of the water, I understood I was lucky to be part of sport that allowed me to be one with nature, all while catching a glimpse of the beautiful wildlife. I have the ability to see beyond, what is at times arduous training, and motivate my team to perform at their very best. I am committed, dedicated and loyal, and seek to continue this passion for the sport, while excelling in my various academic endeavors. I am excited to for what the next chapter will bring.
