Hello, my name is Caroline Hall and I have had the honor of rowing with Space Coast Crew for the past 3 years and counting. I’ve tried just about every sport on the planet, but with rowing, I knew I’d never do anything else. I’m not saying that it’s easy, but the experiences and accomplishments I've shared with my rowing family are beyond extraordinary. Just as the song ‘Cecily Smith' says, “Life is not the things we do, it’s who we’re doing them with.” If it weren’t for those around me, I wouldn’t have become the young woman I am today. That’s what I love most about this sport, it teaches you that not everything can be done alone. In a boat, you need an understanding of those around you. In other sports, it’s easy for you to forget that you're part of a team, but in rowing it's hard not to forge an unbreakable bond.
During my college search, I’m not just looking for a suitable college, I’m looking for people with goals similar to my own. I’m what you might call an extroverted introvert, meaning that I’m a people person, but also cherish my alone time. In my spare time, I play percussion in my high school band, read for fun (I know, crazy right?), and spend time with my four bunnies. At this point, I’d say I've become a master at balancing my academics, extracurriculars, and personal relationships. In terms of my interests of study, I'm looking into a biomedical engineering or kinesiology major to attend graduate school and pursue a career as a prosthetist. Currently, I’m looking for a college that could give me the chance to pursue my passions while continuing my rowing career. Until then, I will continue to push my limits and dream big dreams!
