Kathryn Brody '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kate Brody and I am a Junior at York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. I just recently started rowing crew for the Hinsdale Community Rowing Junior Team. Prior to rowing, I played water polo for both my school and club teams for three years. I have a strong work ethic on and off the water, as an editorial board member for my school’s journalism program, a competitor on my school’s speech team, and as the founder of a volunteer oriented youth group for an organization called Roots and Wings. As I continue to develop my rowing skills, I am constantly applying my ideals of determination and resilience. Rowing has quickly become something I really enjoy, and while I am not yet sure if rowing at the college level is the path for me, I am really interested in learning more about the recruitment process.
