Personal Statement
Avery always works hard. She sets high expectations for herself in all aspects, especially sports and academics. She has incredible determination and perseverance when it comes to achieving her goals, and doesn't believe in giving up. She believes that a person is only as good as they think they can be, so she sets high standards for herself and works hard towards being the best version of herself.
Avery is always willing to grow and develop as a person, student, athlete, and teammate. She welcomes constructive criticism from her mentors, and strives to make an improvement when given feedback.
Collegiate rowing appeals to her because she believes it builds great character in young athletes such as herself, and she loves the sense of community it can instantly bring her when she comes to college.
