Sophia Crocker '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Sophia Crocker, I am 16 years old and I attend Saint Paul Catholic High School in Niagara Falls. I have been a full-time Cox at Niagara Falls Rowing Club for just under a year. I found passion in helping my crew be the best they can possibly be at all times. I am always helping and working with the coaches to find ways to make my crew as fast as possible, and find trigger words for making moves, technique calls etc., making connections with every person in the boat, and learning what they need to hear and when they need to hear it, anything to make my crews as fast as possible. Ever since a friend of mine convinced me to come to her practice one day, I felt a need to be in the boat, experiencing the race with the girls in the boat. I've always wanted to be apart of a competitive team, but never found sports I was truly passionate about until I discovered coxing, something that honours my short stature and small build.
