Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Annika Claussen and I’m a part of the Walt Whitman High School’s class of 2027! I began my rowing journey in winter of 8th grade. That spring I stroked a varsity boat for Whitman Crew. During the summer when my school team doesn’t compete, I‘ve been rowing for TBC Racing. From my first strokes in 8th grade, I’ve grown such a strong connection with the sport which I have grown to love so much. I strive for constant improvements and work towards making myself a better athlete every practice, every stroke. I’ve set my mind on rowing competitively in college and I’m committed to this goal, and I look forward to achieving it in the near future!
