Daphne Edwards '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone!! My name is Daphne Edwards, thank you so much for taking the time to look at my profile.

Here's a little more about me:

I'm a rising senior at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. For many reasons including recruitment and just my overall development as a student-athlete, I've decided to do a post-graduate year, placing me in the recruitment class of 2024. I've been rowing for around 5 year now, 3 more seriously. I've been on my HS varsity team and girls varsity 1v all my years I've been there. I'm also one of the rising girl's varsity captains this year which I'm super excited about. Outside of high school, I have experience with Connecticut Boat Club dev programs (where I started rowing) and Community Rowing comp summers.

Outside of rowing, I am also a swimmer and soccer player. I grew up a competitive swimmer with various accolades including, CT Top 25 lists, CT age groups qualifier, eastern zone qualifier, Phillips Academy girls varsity swimmer, etc. I swim during the winters and sporadically during the fall and summer as well. My background in swimming definitely helped me when I started training more seriously in rowing.  I also grew up a club soccer player with various accolades such as CT ODP team, CT ODP select tournament team, national cup qualifier, etc. Although I don't play anymore that background and training I did until sophomore year is still a big part of who I am, and taught me how to be a multi-sport athlete at a high level.
