My name is Anna Hurley, and I am from Boston, Massachusetts.
I have a diverse soccer background. After a brief stint at Oklahoma State, I returned home due to personal challenges. I then pursued a unique path, becoming the first woman to play UPSL soccer, representing Gate City under the coaching of Maycon Senra and Lawrence Seguro-Katumba. I also had a successful run in Australia’s second division in 2024, where I scored 7 goals and registered 6 assists in 9 matches. This past summer, I played for the Merrimack Valley Hawks, contributing 6 goals and 3 assists in 6 games alongside top players from UVA and the University of Arizona.
I was recently offered a second-division contract in Portugal, after a trial this December, but after careful consideration, I realized that my primary focus is on finding the right balance between academics and athletics. My experiences have reinforced the importance of making an impact off the field, both for myself and my family. I want to pursue an education that will help me achieve financial independence and enable me to give back to those who have supported me. I believe my purpose in this life is to have significance-- where my success can be shared and enjoyed by those around me. I am deeply committed to pursuing both academic and athletic goals that extend beyond my own personal achievement, to fulfill my purpose and contribute something greater than myself.
I earned straight A's at Phillips Academy Andover, ranking in the top 10% of my class. I maintained a 4.0 GPA through the college credits I earned as well.
I have one year of eligibility left, and if given the opportunity I can be a great contributor to your team.
