One of the most important things rowing has taught me is discipline. I am quiet and listen to the coxswain when they are giving directions, I am mindful when handling rowing equipment, and I am focused during pieces and races so I can give everything I have. Through rowing, I have learned to be determined and persevere through the hardest practices and races, and I have learned the value of hard work. I set high goals for myself, and if I fail, I work harder so that one day I will be able to achieve them. Every practice, I work towards being a good role model and leader for other team mates so they can find the same passion that I do from rowing. I believe that my unrelenting passion is what makes me not only a good athlete, but also a good student and a good person. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I work towards being the best version of myself that I can be.
