Academic Accomplishments

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. Rather than taking honors classes, I opted to take AP classes this year instead. Last year, however, I took Advanced Literary Analysis, Honors Pre-Calculus, and Advanced Chemistry.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. I am currently enrolled in four AP classes: AP Calculus BC, AP English Language, AP US History, and AP Physics - Mechanics. My previous AP classes consist of AP World History. Next year, I plan on taking AP Statistics, AP Latin, and AP Government. My school does not offer IB courses.

Awards and Activities

AwardsI am part of the National Latin Honor Society and have achieved the gold medal on the National Latin Exam two years in a row. I have been part of the gifted program since kindergarten. I got a 5 on my AP World History exam last year.
ActivitiesI am an accomplished percussionist. I recently got second for the duet and seventh for the solo in a statewide marimba competition (MMPAT) and have been selected for the regional honors band for three years in a row (St Louis All-Suburban Honors Band). Other instruments I play include piano, ukulele, guitar, drum-set, and hand pan (hang drum). I am on the rock climbing team and compete at local competitions. Some of my hobbies apart from these include reading, photography, travel, and baking. I coach a middle school robotics team and am one of the founding members, secretary, and, now vice-president of a student-run non-profit organization called Ladue Community STEM and Robotics Club. With this organization, our mission is to help expand the outreach of STEM programs in schools throughout our area and promote a greater interest in robotics. Through my service last year, I received the Presidential Service Award Bronze Medal.
