My name is Laurice (Reese) Elick and I have been rowing with Saint Louis Rowing Club since 2019. Being a student athlete is extremely important to me. As a student I stay on top of my education and work very hard to get the best grades that I can. I like to keep as much of a straight A average as I can. In college I plan on going into the medical field. As I go through this recruiting process I look for the best schools for my education that have the major that I intend on pursuing. For me, education is the most important. Wherever I go to college, I want to be able to get the best possible education while still bettering my athletic ability with my rowing career. I want to go to a college with a competitive rowing program that competes at a very high level. I am extremely self driven and whatever I set my mind on doing, I do it. The community and the people that I am going to be surrounding myself with is also extremely important. I want it to be a very welcoming community with everyone working together to make each other faster rowers and better humans. I am very excited in going through this process and look forward to the opportunity of finding the college that is the best fit for me.
