I have learned through rowing that often times out greatest disadvantages and struggles are also our greatest blessings. I have taken that mindset and applied it to every aspect of my life. I can’t express the impact that this sport has had on my outlook. I would love the opportunity to continue rowing through college. 

I come from a small crew in heart of the Nevada desert coached by Jim Anderson. Our team small, with less than 30 athletes, but we make up for it in consistency and determination.

My academics have always been a priority and I want to attend a school where there’s a culture of learning. I strive to do my best in all my classes and really focus on progress. I will be attending a local community college my junior year in order to get a jump start on college. 

I am a dual-sport athlete and ride competitive cross country mountain biking. I compete with the Henderson Hornets, which is a team associated with NICA (Southern Nevada Conference). I also am a GRiT ambassador for NICA; GRiT stands for Girls Riding Together. The program strives to open up the sport of mountain biking to more young women. I just ended my third season with the Henderson Hornets and second season with GRiT. I am currently working with my MTB coaches to recruit new kids, especially girls, for next season.
