At my second time racing at Head of the Charles, I raced in a Women's Youth 8+. During our start, the fin unfortunately fell off our boat, and we could not finish the race. This experience improved my ability as a coxswains, as I had to calm my teammates, ensure we were safe, and collaborate with the officials to navigate to a nearby boathouse and repair our shell.

Sparks was an immersive experience that helped me to gain knowledge, inspiration, and goals for being a coxswain. This camp allowed me to grow my skills both on the water and in the erg room, working with rowers from other teams and practicing on the Schuylkill River. The coaches were very detailed and exceptional in helping us coxswain learn new techniques to connect with our rowers, as well as insights to rowing on the collegiate level. Overall, this camp was a great experience and helped shape my performance as a coxswain.
