In terms of experience over the past year, as a sophomore, I competed at the 2015 Head of the Charles Regatta in a Women's 8. Later that year, during spring season, I had the privilege of rowing stroke seat in the Women’s 4 at the 2016 US Rowing National Championships at Mercer Lake by Princeton University.
I feel that I'm an outstanding candidate to be considered, because I have a lot of passion and drive for rowing and that inspires my teammates. I am coachable, easily make corrections and I consider myself to be a consistent rower.
I’m outgoing and have a positive spirit. It's always a goal of mine to make my teammates feel as comfortable as possible while rowing and during down time. Sustaining close relationships with fellow rowers is so important to me, because I've found that it definitely translates to the best dynamic in the boat, not to mention creating long-lasting friendships.
Academically, I believe that I strive every day to become a better student. In addition to studying the course work in each class, I think it's critically important to be an independent-thinker and create personal opinions. I believe that expanding the mind in that way maximizes the learning experience.
