Personal Statement
My goal is to one day become a Surgeon. College is a a time for me to grow as a rower and a student. I hope to be on a college rowing team and compete nationally. I'm strong, independent, and well grounded. When given a task I put my all into, from a research project to going for the gold at my next regatta. I'm a hard working athlete on and off the water. also I love to volunteer, I get around 100 hours or more a year and I am member in Cary Teen Core. Every day is a day for me to grow and succeed, in whatever position I'm in. My Spring season (2018) of novice has pushed me farther than I thought I could go. The mental strength and toughness I didn't think I had has grew and made me indestructible. what I have learned on the water has translated to other areas of my life as well. In my 5 competitive seasons with Triangle Rowing Club, I have medaled in all of my age events. Our latest victory was at Southeast Regional Championships where my U17+ won Gold. The amount of blood, sweat and lots of tears to win this event against other more experienced crews really broke us down and built us up as better people .
