Natalie Hartzell '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello! I am a junior from the class of 2027 at Archbishop Carroll High School, and also a fourth-year varsity rower at the Dayton Boat Club. I discovered rowing in 7th grade and fell in love with it immediately. Rowing has ignited my drive to succeed. It has shown me possibilities beyond what I could have imagined, whether it involves medaling in challenging races or competing at Youth Nationals three times. From my 8th-grade year on varsity to now, I have consistently aimed to give my all every time I step into a boat, while also uplifting my teammates and contributing to the team's strength with every practice. Rowing has significantly shaped who I am today. It has imparted valuable lessons through grit, pain, and mental toughness. I cannot envision a life without the sport that has transformed me into the person I am meant to be.
