Hello Coaches! If you are looking for a Jack (or Jill) of all trades, look no further! I look at situations logically, but always try to interject humor when needed. I can be a bit of a jokester, but I take my responsibilities very seriously. I am a team player and enjoy pushing myself to benefit my team. I love to read and write and share my fictional writings with friends and family. I am a hard worker and believe that I can always better myself, whether that be in the gym getting PR's, writing elaborate stories, or allowing my empathy to lead me out of my comfort zone and attempt to connect with and appreciate different ways of life. I am the student that will spend days on a 5 point English assignment, because I love it and want to produce great work. I'm also the student that enjoys group projects and bouncing ideas off my peers, sometimes getting way off task and writing, directing, and staring in a one act play in lieu of a PowerPoint presentation. I love a lot of sports. I started young as a competitive swimmer, but when COVID hit, my coach lost his pool-that was then I discovered rowing and never turned back. Inside the shell is my happy place, even wet-docking in a foot of snow is worth the frozen toes to get more on the water time- whether that be rowing the boat or coxing it. I love caring for the boats, learning about the boat, washing the boats, and even rigging- I actually just bought myself some fancy new ratchet wrenches and decorated them with sparkly tape for helping out with rowing camp this summer. I also love softball, I am a catcher, 3rd and 1st baseman on two active teams. I love to get my team energized before a big game. My favorite aspect of my position as catcher is that it allows me to be like a general on the battlefield- calling out plays during the action, making predictions and pitch calls based off of my notes of each batter, and keeping my teammates motivated during long innings in the field. In my free time, you will find me on the slopes in Colorado, hitting the gym or creating unique pieces of art or literature. I'm still exploring what I want to be when I grow up- if I ever, kids find more joy in little things in life. Writing is a passion, but I do love arguing the law, as well as creating characters with FX makeup and acting. Recently I’ve rekindled my passion for animal care and have been shadowing a local vet alongside volunteering at my local animal shelter. All though my talents are wide, they all are a part of who I am. I am a loyal friend, overachiever, over thinker, comedian, lover of all animals, and glass is half full type of girl- unless I drink it, I love water. College experience is very romanticized on television, but I would love that Hogwarts House relationship with my fellow rowers and coaches.
