From a young age, my parents always told me to be a leader, not a follower. Starting out as a rower and becoming a coxswain was my opportunity to fulfill a role as a leader my parents always saw in me. I played soccer growing up and decided to try crew once I got to high school. I immediately fell in love with the sport. I have always had a love for being out on the water whether it’s sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, tubing, or kayaking. Due to my love of the water, I am very passionate about this sport and my team. I want to continue to row in college and make an impact on a new team and a new set of rowers.
Living so close to the nations capital, the government, and politics surrounds me. I enjoy having political dialogues with my family and peers and politics is something I could see myself pursuing a career in.
I take pride in my academics and have always been drawn to learning. I like to take high-level courses and challenge myself. It is important to me that I am always giving 100% and being the best that I can be.
