It’s exciting for me to think about playing soccer in college as this has been my goal as long as I can remember. Four years ago, I left my club of six years to join a more competitive environment and a place I could grow as a player. When I stepped foot on the field of an ECNL game, I knew I’d made the right move. I thrive playing in tough games against top teams-that’s really when I’m at my best.
Similarly, I’ve been involved in AP and honors classes throughout high school and have been able to successfully juggle the academic load with a demanding soccer schedule. My ideal college combines a soccer program where I can contribute to the team’s success and an academic environment that prepares me for life after soccer and graduation.
Through my six-years with National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization, I’ve been a part of my grade level team and many volunteer events where I’ve had to work alongside different types of people to achieve a goal. So, I am no stranger to unique personalities and backgrounds. Having success…both on a competitive sports team and in a tough academic environment…is something I expect of myself and feel I’ve prepared myself for. I can’t wait to start this next chapter!
