Fiona Bernet '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Fiona Bernet and I started playing on my first soccer team at the age of 3. I have always wanted to play soccer in college and compete at the highest level. Since I have been playing club soccer for almost 10 years now I have had to travel and miss school numerous times, however, I am still able to balance my academics and sports as is demonstrated in my grades and field performance. 

In preschool my teacher decided to call me the commander because I liked to boss all the boys around in my class, and that leading mentality has proven intrinsic to my character. From that point on my teachers and coaches have told me that I am a leader. That is why playing center back is a great position for me and I enjoy it so much! Soccer has been an essential part of my life for longer than I can remember, and it means the world to me. Time and hard work have gotten me to where I am today and I know I can go farther.
