Jana Komposch '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! 

I am Jana Komposch. I am currently a senior at MVCS and recently switched clubs and play for Los Gatos United. Previously to that, I was playing with OV Toros  since I was 6 years old and as a captain for many years help lead my team to the Champions League before COVID hit . I regularly guest played with the Toros 03 girls team at the NPL level and got some good extra time on the field with a much higher speed and intensity level. I started my soccer career at 4 years old and my passion for the game has just grew since then. I have played for my Highschool varsity team since Freshman year as the starting midfielder at 6,8, and 10. 

I have consistently maintained of GPA of 4.2 in all the years of high school and have always been a determined student-athlete. In my future, I hope to not only continue to play soccer and keep it a big centerpiece in my life, but I also want to go into business or sports management, also international business has always interested me. I have been told I am a leader on a off the field and want to continue this strength in my future career. 

Growing up in a bicultural and bilingual household - my family and I are from Austria and moved to California when I was 2 years old - has also let me grow to learn different cultures and opened my mind as well as many doors in my past and will hopefully in my future. In 2019, during my 3 months stay in Austria I joint my soccer team (OV Toros) in Lyon, France. We attended a week long soccer camp and we were watching three World Championship Games, as well as cheered on our U.S. Women National Team to their victory. What an impressive event!
