I'm Sylvie, and I'm a 2025 center back from Boulder, Colorado. I currently start for and captain the Colorado Rapids 07G ECRL North team. I have also started on Boulder High School's Varsity women's soccer team since freshman year and captained that team since sophomore year. I pride myself on putting academics as a very high priority of mine while also competing in high level soccer. I have been able to maintain a 4.3 GPA, and for that reason being part of both a strong soccer program and academic program are a top priority of mine. I think I am a good candidate to play college level soccer because I have a strong passion for the sport along with being a natural born leader and being extremely competitive. I am coachable and am looking to make myself and my teammates better every day. On the field, I am fast, I fight hard for every ball, I am a leader to my team, and I keep a positive mindset. I do whatever it takes to protect my goal and my competitive spirit helps with that. According to coaches Janny Rivera, Kyle Griffith, and Samuel Dorf at IMG, "Sylvie is a solid and smart defender. She reads the game well, and is technically very competent both in and out of possession. She has a high soccer IQ and therefore offers a lot as a player in her position in terms of organizing and controlling the last line of defense and beginning the initial phase of attacks." I am always open to constructive criticism as I am always looking to improve and be the best athlete and player I can be. Overall, I strongly believe that my competitiveness, coachability, and grit would make me a good fit for college level soccer.
