I've grown up In Boulder, Colorado my whole life with just me and my sister. Having a smaller family, I have built close relationships with my sister and my parents and feel that can help me with teammates and coaches. Going to college is important to me and my family because I know it can open more doors for me. I can gain more knowledge and focus on a certain topic that I want to pursue in my life. I have always been an athlete and sports are a good escape for me when I'm stressed with school or feel overwhelmed with work. It's my safe place and love it, and I really just want to play at the next level. I am a dual-sport athlete and also play basketball. This has taught me to have good time-management between school, practices and traveling. Soccer is my love and I feel like I have a greater connection to it. It brings me so much joy and that's the sport I want to continue in college. If I'm being honest, I play basketball to keep me in shape during soccer's off-season. Trust is really big to me in my personal life and with my team and coaches. I want to be able to rely on them and return that.
I am a good student and I take advanced classes and have always done well. I'm punctual and reliable. If I have to miss school for any reason, my teachers know that I will be responsible to turn it quality work on time or even early. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and attended Spanish immersion elementary and middle schools. This past spring I took my AP Spanish exam and earned a 4/5! I am also involved in my school and am the Vice President and co-founder of the Women's Empowerment Club and we help raise money for the Women's Shelter in Boulder.
