Kelley Duffy '23 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 5'6", attacking midfielder from Breckenridge CO, attending Summit High School. I have always loved soccer. It is my escape from reality. Walking on the field, and being with my team makes me forget about all the hard times. Soccer fills me with joy, happiness, and strength. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to play collegiate soccer. Soccer is what motivates me to get out bed in the mornings, even on my hardest days. It motivates me to work harder and be better than I was the day before. Soccer is my first love.

I have been playing for the Vail Valley Soccer Club for three years now. I am on the U19 Navy team. In the spring I play for the Summit High School team. I have been captain for two years now and in 2022 went 1st team all conference. I always strive to work hard and do my best no matter what the situation is. Many of my coaches have told me that I adapt easily to new situations and take their criticism to make myself better. Since I live in a smaller town I always push myself to work harder than anyone else. Academically I have a 3.9 GPA and put a lot of effort into the classroom. 

I will always be a student before and athlete so a school with a good academic program is really important to me. I am interested in smaller schools to really dive deep into what I am learning. I mainly want to study exercise science but am also interested in Biology. Athletic wise I want a school that is supportive of athletes and has programs in place for success later in life. I am interested in playing at any level, as long as I get to play soccer and continue to grow as a player I will be happy.
