Brooke Matheson '24 Recruiting Profile

Growing up my parents had a rule that we had to play one sport and one instrument.  This exposed enjoyment of competition to my sister and I.  I was involved in many activities like, basketball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, Karate, tennis, baseball, first chair flautist, choir, piano, talent shows, staring in musicals that led to me winning camper of the year that paid for my next year's tuition.  In addition to all that I was also involved in school programs such as, FCA, honor society, stucco, and school sports.  After in being involved in so many things I realized that the one thing that I loved most was playing soccer.  Since everything was a competition between my older sister and I, I always pushed myself to be better than her, which I accomplished by beating her high score record of six goals in one game.  I ended up scoring 7 goal against my hometown rival, which was a 5A team, as a freshman.  I am very driven, competitive, funny, a good friend, honest, a leader, I have integrity, I am passionate, hardworking, positive, committed, witty, smart, and levelheaded on the field.  I believe these traits made me a captain for most of my soccer career.  

  I'm currently taking several AP and college prep courses to prepare myself for college.  I am interested in criminology, forensics, criminal investigation, and sciences.  I enjoy being outdoors and am hoping to find a degree that will allow me to do what I love.
