Sierra Chavez '16 Recruiting Profile

Like many high school students, I am not 100% sure of which career path I would like to pursue or where I would like to attend college. I am open to different size schools in various regions of the country. However, I am very interested in Audio Engineering / Music Production / Music Technology.

My main sport is obviously soccer. I am a goalkeeper. However, I like to be a well rounded athlete, so I also play ice hockey (center) and lacrosse (defender). I do my best to be a leader on the teams I play on and set a good example for my teammates. I believe that teams that are friends off the field play better together as a unit on the field. Therefore, I try to set a tone of friendship and family on and off the field. I was honored to be named Captain for high school soccer team for my upcoming senior year. 

I am completely comfortable playing in games in which I face a lot of shots. I've played in many games in which I've faced over 20 shots on goal. I am also able to keep my focus in games in which I don't see much action. I am not afraid to come off my line and make an aggressive play. I don't like to make mistakes, but when I do, I never give up on the play and do my best to recover from whatever mistake I've made. I also don't like to have a "bad game" but when I do, I have the ability to put that game behind me and come back strong in my next outing. I continue to train to work on the skills I need to improve and to keep the skills I have sharp. 

My goal is to play in college and to have a positive impact for the soccer team of the college I attend.
