My name is Marla Radikas and I am going into my sophomore year of high school at Glastonbury High School. I have been playing soccer for 10 years now. During that time, I have played a range of positions including holding midfield, center back, and goalkeeper. However, I fell in love with goalkeeping and have been playing that position for 5 years now. Although my passion is goalkeeping, I am able to play center back as well and did so for 3 years at the club level. My experience as a field player has made me a more versatile goalie in a position that now requires the ability to play the ball with your feet. In addition, my aggression off the line separates me from fellow goalkeepers. I am more than willing to play high off my line, power dive over players on crosses, and come out to collect through balls. I am equally as driven off the field as I am on and have maintained a 4.6 GPA my freshman year of high school and maintained high honors all semesters. I am constantly striving to improve myself and am looking for a college/university that will challenge me both academically and athletically so I can reach my highest potential.
